Saw him mentioned a bit over in the Wes Anderson thread under movies & tv. Figured i’d put this here. I consider Elliott to be my favorite songwriter of all time, no contest. I love all of his work, but what are some of your favorite songs/albums? My favorite album might be XO. Too hard to pick just a few songs. I love everything from the Basement era as well - such a travesty that we never heard that album the way he intended it, but what we can find is amazing. The guy wrote so many fucking songs that you can never stop discovering/rediscovering them! To any interested newcomers/not-exactly-hardcore fans: I give you Grand Mal. Thank me later, haha. yay the thread has been made! i’m not super hardcore (yet) so my favorites are sort of basic level… favorite song is probably a tie between ballad of big nothing and everything means nothing to me (both of which i listen to on loop quite often). favorite album is either/or; it was the first one i listened to so it holds a special place in my heart :) i have from a basement on cd, it’s one of the few good albums i’ve found at my local goodwill.
